Le Ministre-Président de Schloss (Ministerpräsident von Schloss) est le chef du gouvernement du Land de Schloss.
Depuis le 12 août 227, Benjamin Boden (SA) occupe la fonction de Ministre-Président.
Fonction et pouvoirs
Désignation
Le Ministre-Président de Schloss est élu par les députés du Landtag pour la durée d'une législature à la majorité absolue des suffrages exprimés.
Rôle
Le Ministre-Président de Schloss désigne les ministres régionaux qu'il peut constitutionnellement nommer et révoquer selon sa volonté. En pratique, la composition de l'exécutif régional relève le plus souvent d'un accord politique quand le gouvernement est composé de plusieurs formations politiques.
Le Ministre-Président coordonne le travail des ministères régionaux, met en œuvre les politiques publiques et est en charge de l'application de la loi régionale.
Le Ministre-Président est l'un des deux membres, avec le président du Landtag, de la délégation de Schloss au Conseil des Länder.
Fin de fonction
La fonction de Ministre-Président prend fin automatiquement à chaque renouvellement du Landtag.
Le mandat peut également prendre fin prématurément par la démission, le décès ou le renversement du Ministre-Président. Une nouvelle élection est alors organisée. Contrairement au niveau fédéral, une motion de censure visant un Ministre-Président n'est pas constructive et requiert seulement le vote d'une majorité absolue des députés pour renverser le gouvernement en place.
